The new learn10 widget!!! (still a bit beta)

April 24th, 2008

We released version one of learn10 within two weeks of thinking up the idea. Reactions to it were both extensive and immediate (via our Polldaddy daily research questions); our users told us we needed to add grammar, pronunciation and a test function. Our next release is now here.

It’s taken us two months to program version two of learn10, incorporating the features most often requested by users. So alongside our own programming, we have also incorporated an Oddcast speaking avatar to give pronunciation help, as well as a MyVox word recording function - this means that you can keep a record of the words you have learnt & get feedback from native speakers about your pronunciation.

We will not publicise the new learn10 until we’ve had some feedback from existing users. You are very welcome to join our private beta test running via the learnit list google group. Just register on learn10 & tell us what you think.

P.S. If you’re planning on attending the TechCrunch meet-up in Prague, use it to learn some Czech!
