Learnit’s first viral marketing campaign

February 18th, 2008

We have our first commission for Learnit lists. We’ve been asked to produce a version of Learnit with some very industry specific information - very technical and specialist, to be used as a viral marketing campaign. The principle is simple, provide people with something useful and they might like it; they might like it enough to send it on to their friends, or to purchase a more advanced product from you. The bespoke widget will be ready to go live alongside (but separate from) our language product when Orkut & MySpace open for applications at the end of the month. We are waiting for a response from LinkedIn - their applications system is in private beta at present. LinkedIn would obviously be the perfect platform for such industry specific and directly work related content, and it’s great proof of concept for us.
